The Makers is a new project by America House Odesa. It is a series of documentary film screenings that brings together stories that shaped the United States.
This time, we will learn about the “first American,” a Founding Father of the United States — Benjamin Franklin. A person talented in almost everything — from politics to natural sciences. Here is just a small list of what Ben Franklin accomplished: he participated in drafting the Declaration of Independence, invented the lightning rod, bifocal glasses, and founded the first library in the United States. Learn more at the event, where we will watch key moments from his life and discuss them.
During the screening, there will be a discussion where you can practice your English and share your thoughts about the man featured on the 100-dollar bill 😉
