We know George Washington as the first President of the United States, one of the Founding Fathers, and the man whose face looks back at us from the one-dollar bill. But what was his life like before he became a defining figure in American history?
Join us on November 19 for a special Movie Night at America House Odesa to find out! 🇺🇸
We'll be watching Young Washington (2026), a historical drama directed by Jon Erwin that explores the early years of America's future first president.
The story follows 22-year-old George Washington, an ambitious young military officer whose decisions lead to serious consequences. Ahead of him lie war, betrayal, difficult moral choices, and mistakes that gradually shape the man who would one day be entrusted with leading a new nation.
We've received special permission to screen Young Washington at America House Odesa just for this Movie Night! It's a great opportunity to experience the film together, share our impressions afterward, and discuss how the young Washington portrayed on screen compares to the familiar figure we know from history books.
